MAZE is a fantastic opportunity for children to exercise their brains, draw upon their prior knowledge and explore the depths of their imaginations. My students were thrilled to discover they would have the opportunity to reenter the labyrinth again (they voted MAZE their favorite read last year-despite not being able to finish our journey). I waited nearly a full year before buying not one but two copies of MAZE. ![]() Regrettably, someone stole my much-worn original copy last year from the elementary school where I worked (I know, crazy!). I have now shared MAZE with hundreds of children-kindergarten students to sixth-graders-from Lawrence, KS to Denver, CO. I discovered Christopher Manson's MAZE in college and I found it so fascinating I knew I had to share it with the boys and girls at my workplace.
